Quick Answer
Store cleaning chemicals in their original labelled containers, in a cool and dry place away from sunlight, food and children. Never mix two cleaning chemicals, wear gloves for surface cleaners, and in case of eye contact rinse with clean water; if swallowed, seek medical help immediately.
Keep products in original containers
Always keep cleaning chemicals in their original labelled packs. If you transfer a product into a dispenser or spray bottle, label it clearly. Never store cleaning products in empty water or cold drink bottles, as this can lead to accidents.
Store in the right place
Choose a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep chemicals away from food, spices and medicines, and out of reach of children and pets. Store heavy 5 Litre cans on lower shelves.
Never mix chemicals
Mixing different cleaning chemicals can be dangerous and can also reduce cleaning performance. Use each product on its own, as directed, and rinse buckets and cloths between products.
First aid basics
If a product enters the eyes, rinse with clean running water for several minutes and consult a doctor if irritation continues. If a product is swallowed, do not induce vomiting; rinse the mouth and seek medical help immediately with the product label.
